Everest College in Tacoma serves south Seattle-area students who are eager to train for careers in any one of several popular career fields. At Everest in Tacoma, you will find the kind of learning environment and support team you need to grow and thrive as an individual. The Facility

Everest College’s Tacoma campus is located at 2156 Pacific Avenue near the intersection of I-705 and S. 21st Street. The campus includes classrooms and laboratories, administrative facilities, a computer-equipped library and student lounge.

Campus Activities

Everest College’s Tacoma campus offers a variety of activities and events to give you the complete student experience. These include our:

  • Igniter Ambassador Program – School can sometimes be an overwhelming place. Our Igniter ambassadors are experienced students who ?know the ropes? and make themselves available to help whenever you have a question, problem or situation you can t handle on your own.
  • In-House Program Clinics – Our Career Services professionals stage regular workshops where you can learn and practice the skills you need to compete successfully in today s job market.
  • CARE Program – Our concern for our students doesn t stop at the classroom door. That s why we offer support with a range of personal issues that can impact your performance and well being. Whether it s getting quality child care to planning a household budget, our CARE program professionals can help.
  • GED Program Even if you never finished high school, we may be able to help you qualify for our programs through our GED program. If you qualify, the program can help you get your GED at no cost and no obligation. Contact our Tacoma campus for more details.

Community Involvement

At Everest College, a great education means more than just learning a marketable skill. By helping others, you’ll help yourself by learning responsibility, empathy and interpersonal skills that can last a lifetime. We provide you with opportunities to grow through our involvement and support of many important community groups and events.

Campus Resources

Everest provides a number or resources that can help students stay focused and complete their educational goals. A student services coordinator can help with any additional questions you may have. The following is offered:

  • Library services available Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Library computers
  • Study groups initiated by student body
  • Available tutoring
  • Bookstore hours available Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Fridays

Safety & Security Are a Priority

At Everest, we re committed to creating a safe learning environment free from preventable harm from physical assault, threatening behavior, theft, or other security-related issues. Our campuses have multiple safety precautions in place including a professional security staff and physical security measures such as cameras, alarms, and secured access where appropriate. Additionally, we maintain and regularly test emergency response plans that will help us to effectively manage any type of on-campus emergency.

Transportation and Parking

Everest s Tacoma campus has no-cost parking located near the school’s entrance, and close proximity to I-5 if driving, as well as city bus lines if using public transportation. The following information is provided:

  • Campus parking near the school’s entrance at no cost
  • Off-site parking recommendations (there may be a fee)
  • Street parking as available
  • Campus is west of I-705
  • Bus stops located at Pacific Street and 24th (460 feet southeast), 24th and Pacific (.10 miles southeast)
  • Metrolink Station (CCTV) located at 914 164th Street, 43 minutes north of the school
